Frequently Asked Questions
Do I get to Drive?
Yes, as long as you are over the age of 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license and proof of full coverage insurance, you can drive. We do not have a staff member in the car with you. If you do not bring a passenger the passenger seat will be empty. There are no backseats - only one passenger per vehicle. Passengers over the age of 21 can drive too.
How long do I get the car for?
Our tours are all booked based on mileage however we can estimate your experience time. Which includes Check-in, Orientation, Drive Time, Photo stops, etc.
Tour Lengths: 15 Miles (45 Minute Experience), 35 Miles (90 Minute Experience), 65 Miles (3 Hour Experience) 105 Miles (4.5 Hour Experience)
I have a 25 Mile Tour Voucher but your website does not show that option?
We stopped running our 25 Mile Tour in December of 2023
We know there are many 25 Mile vouchers still unused, therefore we are offering a FREE upgrade to a 35 Mile Tour for those with valid 25 Mile Tour Vouchers.
We have predetermined routes for all of our tours and you will follow our lead car on these routes.
We have safety measures in place to be sure that no one is ever lost or left behind on the tours
All vehicles are fitted with a two-way radio
We spread the cars out to prevent rock damage to the vehicles and allow guests to drive at their own pace.
Can the Driver and Passenger both drive?
We have one stop on the 35-mile tour, at this stop, we will take photos and allow the driver and passenger to switch seats if they wish. If you have more than one car in your group you can also scramble and switch seats.
On our 65 and 105-mile tours, we have 4-6 stops meaning you will drive 5-7 cars. These stops not only allow you to cycle into another Supercar but your driver and passenger can take turns.
How does the age requirement work?
We require all drivers to be 21+ years of age.
If you would like to have a passenger with you, you are welcome to add them at the time of booking
Can my young son/daughter be a passenger?
Of course, we love seeing the kids having a great time!
These cars do not have back seats, car seats will not fit in the front seat, and some booster seats are permitted based on size and vehicle.
Can I purchase your insurance for my tour?
We do not offer insurance through Oxotic.
We require Proof of Full Coverage and Comprehensive Car Insurance digital or hardcopy are acceptable.
Additional Insurance Options → If you do not have Full Coverage and Comprehensive, we suggest using XInsurance.com or Prime Insurance Company.
Oxotic requires everyone to have Full Coverage/Comprehensive Car Insurance to get behind the wheel of our cars. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
Authorized motorists are acceptable i.e a parent or spouses policy, a declaration page or other documentation will need to be provided to show proof of the authorized motorist on the policy.
Can someone teach me how to drive the car?
Yes, we have a safety orientation before every tour. We go over the rules for driving the cars and the route. A staff member will then get you set up in your car.
What is the route for the tour?
All of our tours start and end at our facility and go through Golden Gate Canyon.
The 15 and 35-mile tours do not venture outside of Golden Gate Canyon.
The 15-mile tour goes halfway up into Golden Gate at which point the tour group will turn around and head back down to the facility; this tour does not have a stop or driver switch.
The 35-mile tour goes to the top of Golden Gate, where photos and driver switches take place and come back down.
The 65 Mile Tour ventures out of Golden Gate and uses Peak to Peak Highway to Highway 72 (Cold Creek Canyon) following that to Highway 93 which will take us to the photo stop, and back to the facility. This tour offers the opportunity to drive multiple cars.
Our longest tour, the 105 Mile starts the same way as our 65-mile tour reaching Peak to Peak Highway, and then differs taking Highway 7 to Lyons, then reaching Highway 36 through downtown Boulder and onto our photo stop, onto Highway 93 back to the facility. This tour offers the opportunity to drive multiple cars.
How fast do I get to drive?
All of our tours take place on public roads, we do our best to be respectful of others, and you will have the opportunity to feel the power of these cars.
These tours are not all about speed, we picked these routes so our guests not only get to feel the power but also the handling and agility that these supercars offer on canyon roads.
We offer spirited driving. We do not condone reckless driving that puts you or others at risk. We reserve the right to remove any driver at any time if they are driving recklessly.
Driving on public roads means others are driving on them too. We cannot control traffic, but we do the best we can to ensure you feel the power and performance of these amazing cars.
What if I get car sick?
We sell Dramamine at the front desk and suggest it if you are prone to motion sickness. Altitude can affect car sickness and the tour goes an additional 1,000 feet above Colorado's already high altitude, we recommend taking Dramamine, etc. prior to the tour if your guests have a history of car sickness.
Can we take the cars on a track?
There are no track experiences that operate year-round in Colorado. The closest track to Denver Metro is 3-4 Hours away. Our tours are on public Canyon roads with predetermined routes.
Are these cars manual or automatic?
All of our cars are manufactured in automatic and do not come equipped with a “stick shift” That said they do have the ability to be in manual using paddle shifters, which we do not allow on our tours, this is for safety and liability.
Do I pick all the cars I want to drive on the 65 or 105 Mile Tour?
No, you will pick the starting car that you would like to be in when you book your tour, the other vehicles are based on participation, and the other vehicles you will drive will be selected by others in your tour group at the time of booking. Once on the tour, everyone will switch to the other vehicles at random to keep the tour fair for everyone.
What if I do not want to and/or can’t drive the car?
We offer ride-a-long tours.
Do I need to pick a Tour date, Car, etc when I buy the gift voucher that I am giving to someone as a gift?
When you complete your transaction you will immediately get an email from our system that will provide a unique voucher code for each tour voucher you purchased. These vouchers are not assigned to an individual they can be used by you or anyone you give them to. If you choose to have the voucher shipped to you or picked up at our office (791 Pine Ridge Rd. Golden CO 80403), you will still receive a digital voucher emailed to you. We send the voucher to the email address you provide. Can I upgrade my pre-purchased tour to a longer length and/or add a passenger?
Yes, you will pay the difference at the time of booking the reservation. We do not backdate discounted prices. Taking advantage of the sale during the sale time will be your best price. You can add a passenger at the time of booking or the day of your tour. You will be charged the full price of just the passenger fee. Passengers over 21 can drive too.
My confirmation email says I have to pay a 20% gratuity, what is this for?
We calculate a 20% gratuity for you based on the cost of your tour, this is a suggested amount that goes to our staff photographers and tour guides. Our photographers and tour guides volunteer their time to take amazing photos of our tours and they appreciate the gratuity given by our guests for their hard work.
Due to the size of our fleet, any booking consisting of 3 or more vehicles (booked together or separately) will have an automatic 20% gratuity added to the total cost of the tour.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes, private tours require our entire fleet to be booked in order for it to be just you and your group, otherwise, your tour will be open to the public to book the remaining supercars.
The forecast says it’s going to rain/snow, what happens to my tour?
We understand that Colorado weather is unpredictable and we wait as long as possible to determine whether a tour will go out.
Our cars and their tires are not designed for wet/snow-packed roads, they are not safe in these conditions
If your tour is canceled for weather conditions either forecasted or due to same-day weather changes we will do our best to get you rescheduled for a time that works best for you.
If you are visiting us from out of state we understand that it can be difficult to reschedule which is why we offer you a full year to use the tour credit. We do not offer refunds, we cannot control the weather and we make our guest’s safety our highest priority.
My gift card/voucher is a few years old, is it still valid?
All monetary gift cards have a 5-year expiration and are as good as cash, you can use them to purchase your tours as well as add-ons such as photo packages and/or a passenger. They cannot be used for gratuity or merchandise.
All tour-specific gift vouchers have a one-year fuel & maintenance price lock meaning gift vouchers purchased in 2023 have fuel & maintenance prepaid for the 2023/2024 season, if you use your 2023 voucher in 2025 there will be a difference to pay based on the difference in rate price.
Any gift voucher purchased prior to 2022 will have the amount paid for the gift voucher applied and a difference will be paid at the time of booking. Unless the voucher has expired. You have 3 years to use your pre-paid tour voucher from the date of purchase.
What do I need to bring for my tour?
You will need to bring your driver’s license and proof of insurance with you for check-in
Upon check-in you will present your credentials to the front desk for copying, and then fill out a driver waiver, all drivers and passengers must fill out a driver waiver to participate in our tours
You are welcome to bring a personal water bottle so long as it is water only.
Colorado has 300 days of sunshine so sunglasses are encouraged
Temperatures change throughout the day, so we suggest having a jacket with you, just in case
Small backpacks/purses are permitted but keep in mind that these cars are limited in space so if it is not needed then we suggest not bringing it.
We do not allow high heels, steel-toed boots, cowboy boots or flip-flops if you are driving.
What time do I need to be there for my tour?
The time of your tour is the time of check-in, i.e. a 9:00 am tour time means that you will check in at 9:00 am. If you arrive early we ask that you remain in your vehicle until your check-in time.
We are constantly moving cars around and getting the tour staged for you. We kindly ask that you do not go behind the building to look at the cars prior to your tour, this is for safety and liability, once you have checked in for your tour we will let you know when you are able to look at the cars for your tour

We do not allow promotional discounts to be used with discounted gift cards or gift vouchers i.e you cannot use a promotional code with a monetary gift card or a tour voucher bought during our annual sales.
The Supercar and/or date I want to book is grayed out, what does this mean?
If the supercar that you are looking to book is grayed out that means it is either already booked or unavailable for another reason such as regularly scheduled maintenance. If the date you are looking for is grayed out this can be for a number of reasons, our facility may be bought out for a corporate event, it may be a holiday, or some other event happening making regular tours unavailable.
Why are you closed on Major Holiday Weekends: We drive spiritedly in the canyons, and our customers come to feel the power and performance, of driving a few Million Dollars worth of Supercars. The last thing we want to do is sit in bumper-to-bumper traffic cruising at a snail’s pace up and down the canyon roads. We learned through our 10 years of operation that you do not want to be on the canyon roads on Holiday weekends.
